IRT Malaysia - LV 2 Advanced Infrared Thermography Applications Certification Course

This course focuses on Quantitative skills including making accurate temperature, emissivity and transmissivity measurements, as well as setting repair prioritization for improved accuracy and diagnosis.

What you will learn

• The basics of developing an overall infrared inspection program.
• The ability to specify procedures for infrared thermographic testing.
• How to perform tests, analyze and document heat patterns of problems caused by improper design, workmanship or material failure.
• Advanced theory, applications, equipment operations, standards compliance, thermal analysis, and inspection techniques.
• In-depth concepts in infrared radiosity and heat transfer, as applied to your applications.
• Thermal physics and thermographic concepts, operations and applications.
• Understanding different aspects of resolution.

The course will strengthen and improve thermography skills for condition monitoring and nondestructive testing applications. The review, drafting and implementation of procedures for use in industry will also be emphasized.

Certification Standards

The Level 2 Course follows the ASNT recommended course curriculum, in accordance with ASNT-TC1A. ASNT certification will be granted to students who successfully complete the course and written requirements.

*Attendees are required to have the following throughout the course: (1) Laptop; (2) Earpiece with Mic; (3) Thermal Imager. 

**American English will be used throughout the course.
