Megger Fault Sniffer 2

Save time and money with the Fault Sniffer 2 by locating the cable faults yourself, and finding the problems quickly and safely without the use of service providers or a cable test van. 

How does it work?

• When a cable fault leads to the burning of the jacket material, combustion gases are produced.
• The combustion gases are sucked in by a vacuum pump.
• Sensors in the device detect the gas and display the measured quantities graphically.
• Natural occurring gases such as fermentation gas and natural gas are also sucked in and detected.
• The two-sensor technology enables the device to distinguish between burning gases and natural gases. 
• If natural gases are detected, the user is warned.

Where can you use this?

• Underground low voltage network
• Power outage in a supply line
• Joints
• Difficult surfaces eg. small gaps in pavements or asphalt (*in combination with the Pump Bagpack)
