Save time and money with the Fault Sniffer 2 by locating the cable faults yourself, and finding the problems quickly and safely without the use of service providers or a cable test van.
How does it work?
- When a cable fault leads to the burning of the jacket material, combustion gases are produced.
- The combustion gases are sucked in by a vacuum pump.
- Sensors in the device detect the gas and display the measured quantities graphically.
- Natural occurring gases such as fermentation gas and natural gas are also sucked in and detected.
- The two-sensor technology enables the device to distinguish between burning gases and natural gases.
- If natural gases are detected, the user is warned.
Where can you use this?
- Underground low voltage network
- Power outage in a supply line
- Joints
- Difficult surfaces eg. small gaps in pavements or asphalt (*in combination with the Pump Bagpack)
What are the benefits?
- Consumers / households can remain connected to the power grid
- Graphical representation of the combustion gas concentration
- Intelligent two-sensor technology detects natural gases and differentiates them from combustion gases, preventing misinterpretations
- Operating time >10h with one battery charge
- Drilling is almost completely unnecessary (*in combination with the Pump Bagpack)
- Data is evaluated in real time
